Dolphin defender to undergo scan for injury

Left wing back Mutiu Adegoke of Dolphin Football Club will undergo a second scan tomorrow at a Lagos hospital after suffering an injury on his right arm.
The 26-year-old defender injured his right arm during a walk out game and has not trained with his Premier League club for more than two weeks.
He told SuperSport.com in Lagos on Monday that he had initially thought it was a minor sprain but the injury turned worse and he was advised by one of the national team doctors to carry out a scan.
The scan revealed that he had suffered a minor fracture in the arm.
But Adegoke, who was part of the home-based Eagles that won the Wafu Cup in Abeokuta earlier this year, will undergo another scan at the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi to confirm the true extent of the damage to his right arm.
However, the second could determine whether Adegoke will have to go through the surgeon’s knife to correct the dislocation he suffered.
“I was told by one of the national team doctors to go and do a scan, which I did and showed to him. He said the result of the scan showed that I suffered a minor fracture on my right arm.
“But I will do another on tomorrow (Tuesday) to determine whether it is really bad or not because I have been told that I might have to operate it,” said the former Enyimba and Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) man.
